Fresno Man Arrested in Connection with Deadly Shooting

A 38-year-old Fresno man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 64-year-old man on Sunday, March 16.

Shortly after 7 a.m. that Sunday, officers responded to Tulare Street near B Street following reports of an unresponsive male lying on the sidewalk, the Fresno Police Department said in a statement.

Officers found Abraham Tiggs with a gunshot wound to the chest and he died at the scene.

Homicide detectives began their investigation and identified Adam Delacruz, 38, as the suspect in the shooting.

Detectives executed a search warrant Wednesday at a residence near Tulare and B Street, where Delacruz was taken into custody.

A firearm believed to have been used in the homicide was also recovered.

Delacruz faces charges of murder and illegal possession of a firearm.
