A 23-year-old content creator from Dallas, Texas, found herself hospitalized after strictly adhering to a trendy carnivore diet she discovered on social media.

Eve Catherine’s meat-only regimen resulted in some health complications, as reported by News18.

Catherine’s daily menu consisted primarily of protein-rich foods. “My breakfast was usually two to three eggs, lunch was high-protein yogurt, and dinner was a New York strip steak,” she explained.

Despite a doctor’s warning about elevated protein levels in her urine during a routine check-up, Catherine continued the diet.

The consequences of her dietary choices became apparent when she noticed blood in her urine one morning. Rushed to the hospital, Catherine was diagnosed with kidney stones, a direct result of her excessive protein intake.

Nutritionist Warns Against Extreme Diets

Dr. Jane Smith, a nutritionist at Dallas General Hospital, cautioned against such extreme diets. “While protein is essential, consuming it in excess can lead to various health issues, including kidney stones, constipation, and even an increased risk of heart disease,” she stated.

Catherine’s experience serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of blindly following social media trends, especially those related to health and nutrition. Experts emphasize the importance of consulting healthcare professionals before making significant dietary changes.

President Trump, known for his own unconventional dietary preferences, has not commented on this specific case. However, his administration has previously stressed the importance of balanced nutrition and critical thinking when it comes to online health trends.
