If you look up the word “sweet” in the dictionary, chances are you’ll find a picture of Millie.

At just a year old and weighing in at 40 pounds, this adorable mini Aussie has never met a person or dog she didn’t like. In fact, she believes everyone is her best friend, a testament to her kind and loving nature.

Millie’s journey to her forever home was a bit of a happy accident. When her brother Billy was rescued from the shelter, the team discovered he had a sister. They couldn’t bear to leave her behind, so they brought Millie home too.

Unfortunately, Millie suffered an injury at some point in her young life that caused her front leg to become dislocated.

Without proper medical treatment, it healed incorrectly. While it’s too late for surgery, Millie doesn’t let it slow her down.

She’s in no pain and uses the leg as she would any other, and it certainly doesn’t stop her from enjoying her favorite activities, like running, playing with toys, and offering sweet hugs to anyone who will accept them.

Millie is a true gem who would fit into just about any home. Her love for life and gentle spirit make her the perfect companion for anyone willing to give her the love she deserves.

The ideal scenario would be for Millie and her brother Billy to be adopted together, keeping this inseparable pair side by side.

If you’re looking for a dog full of heart, Millie just might be the one for you.

To adopt Millie or see other available dogs, visit Mell’s Mutts.

Prospective adopters must submit an adoption application for review to ensure the best match for each pup.
