Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Billy, a 1-year-old mini Australian shepherd, is showing everyone what it means to embrace life to the fullest after a rough start.

Found alongside his sister Millie at a local shelter, Billy was possibly born with a malformed leg that dragged and scraped the ground.

Though not in pain, the condition eventually led to sores, prompting the difficult decision for an amputation.

Now, Billy is running, jumping, and playing with ease.

Weighing in at a healthy 45 pounds, he’s the perfect size and has blossomed into a playful, social pup.
