A 21-year-old male was arrested being observed racing a white Honda Accord at speeds exceeding 100 mph while intoxicated on westbound Highway 152 near Road 12 on Thursday, the California Highway Patrol said in a statement.

The driver, behind the wheel of a yellow Chevrolet Montecarlo, was pulled over after displaying signs of alcohol intoxication.

Despite the traffic stop, the Honda continued westbound and did not stop.

While no injuries were reported, the California Highway Patrol emphasized the dangers of street racing, noting that such reckless behavior can lead to tragic consequences.
