Mindy Casto was sworn in as Fresno’s 24th police chief and its first female chief on Friday.
Casto, a Fresno native who joined the police department in 1997, aims to prioritize life preservation, improved service, and professionalism.
Casto replaces Paco Balderrama, who resigned following allegations of misconduct.
