Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Wolfie, a 2- to 3-year-old mix of Standard Poodle and Labrador, is looking for a new home after spending over a month living in an open field.

The sweet and playful dog was discovered by workers at a nearby water treatment facility, who took pity on him and shared their lunches while building a cardboard hut to shield him from the rain.

Initially shy, Wolfie required a special trap and chicken to coax him into safety. Once rescued, it was clear just how much this dog wanted to play and enjoy life.

Having gained 15 pounds since his rescue, Wolfie now weighs around 60 pounds and is in great health.

Wolfie has proven to be friendly and loving, quickly warming up to both other dogs and people.

He’s a fun-loving dog with a big heart, and would thrive in almost any home ready to provide the care and affection he deserves.

After surviving life on his own, Wolfie is ready for a fresh start in a family that will cherish him.

Prospective adopters must submit an adoption application for review to ensure the best match for each pup.
