A suspect was arrested Thursday after authorities recovered 27 firearms during a search warrant operation in northeast Fresno, police said.

Police executed the warrant at a residence near Herndon and Millbrook avenues, uncovering 19 firearms, including handguns, shotguns, and rifles, along with ammunition and high-capacity magazines, authorities said.

An additional eight firearms were found at a pawn shop in connection with the case.

The suspect, who has prior firearm-related arrests and is prohibited from possessing guns, was booked into the Fresno County Jail.

Police told GV Wire that they are not releasing the identity for the suspect at this time.

Charges include possession of large-capacity magazines, illegal possession of an assault weapon, and obstructing a police officer, authorities said.
