A 23-year-old man was arrested Friday after crashing into a home in the near Tulare Avenue and Fairway Street in Visalia, the Visalia Police Department reported.

Just before 2:20 p.m., police responded to reports of a vehicle striking the residence.

The driver and a passenger fled the scene before officers arrived. Fortunately, no one inside the home was injured, although the property suffered significant damage.

Police later located the driver nearby and identified him as Alfredo Rodriguez-Zavala.

He was arrested on charges of hit-and-run, driving without a license, and a misdemeanor warrant, police said.

Rodriguez-Zavala is being held at the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility.
