Fresno State and High Performance Academy announced on Thursday they’re partnering together to host youth sports camps at Valley Children’s Stadium and other athletic facilities on campus this winter. The camps are presented in partnership with Bulldog Bound and Fresno Uniļ¬ed School District.

HPA empowers youth through sports, education, and enrichment programs to foster conļ¬dence, leadership, and life skills. The group impacts more than 10,000 students annually across California.

“At Fresno State, we believe in the power of sports to transform lives and build brighter futures,” said Garrett Klassy, director of athletics at Fresno State. “We’re dedicated to providing youth in our community and county with opportunities to grow and learn through sport, and this partnership with High Performance Academy and Fresno Uniļ¬ed School District reļ¬‚ects that commitment.”

Multi-Sport Camps to Welcome Local Kids

From Jan. 6ā€“10, the ļ¬rst multi-sport camps will welcome 600 young campers for a week packed with athletic activities. Open to all skill levels, the program features flag football, soccer, and STEM activities.

The kids will receive mentorship from HPA’s team, made up of current and former collegiate athletes, most of them Bulldogs. Campers will receive breakfast, lunch, and healthy snacks daily from Pardini’s and will leave with Bulldog and HPA goods to commemorate their memories.

Inspiring Young Athletes

A highlight for the attendees will be a “Signing Day” experience. Campers will act out signing letters of intent to feel the excitement of being a collegiate athlete. It’s designed to inspire campers to dream big and to one day becoming Bulldogs themselves.

“These camps provide so much more than just athletic trainingā€”they foster friendships, teach essential skills, build leadership and conļ¬dence, and instill the values and responsibilities of being a student-athlete,” said Jesus Garcia, CEO of HPA.

“I am deeply grateful for the partnership with Fresno State and extend my thanks to President Saul Jimenez-Sandoval, Garrett Klassy, and the entire Fresno State team for their eļ¬€orts in bringing this impactful collaboration to life, beneļ¬tting thousands of youth in the Central Valley.”

The camps are free for Fresno Uniļ¬ed students. Parents can register their children here and spots are limited.
