Comedy greats and music idols are coming to Fresno to kickstart 2025, and the big names will continue through the year’s first half.

Anjelah Johnson-Reyes

Comedian Anjelah Johnson-Reyes will entertain Eagle Mountain Casino on Saturday, Jan. 11. She’s best known for her stint on the series “MADtv” during its 13th season where she brought the characters Mį»¹ Linh/Tammy and Bon Qui Qui to life. Her Bon Qui Qui videos made her a YouTube sensation.

Johnson-Reyes has appeared in films like “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel” and “Our Family Wedding.” Two of her comedy specials have premiered on Netflix, one on Amazon, and two on YouTube. She was a former Oakland Raiders cheerleader before she became a comedian.

She authored the book “Who Do I Think I Am?” Her accents, depictions of Latin American culture, her examination of being ghetto and famous, and being a California girl living in the south has garnered her a devoted following.

Gladys Knight

R&B legend and former singer of the Pips Gladys Knight will sing her heart out at Table Mountain Casino on Friday, Jan. 17. The “Empress of Soul” and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is still going strong at 80.

Knight has two No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 singles with “Midnight Train to Georgia” and “That’s What Friends Are For,” 11 No. 1 R&B singles and six No. 1 R&B albums. Rolling Stone magazine ranked her among the 100 Greatest Singers of All Time. She’s a recipient of the National Medal of Arts and Kennedy Center Honors.

David Foster & Katherine McPhee

Enjoy an intimate evening with married couple and musical duo David Foster and Katherine McPhee at Tachi Palace Casino Resort on Saturday, Jan. 18.

Foster is one of the most renowned producers and composers in music. His 16 Grammy Awards, an Emmy Award, a Golden Globe, and three Oscar nominations for “Best Original Songs” back his expertise. He’s discovered and launched the careers of Celine Dion, Josh Groban, and Michael BublĆ©.

He’s collaborated with a huge roster of prominent artists like Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Dolly Parton, amongst others.

McPhee has been in film, television, and Broadway. She was a contestant on Season 5 of “American Idol.” She’s starred in shows like “Scorpion,” “Smash,” and “Country Comfort.” In 2018, she made her Broadway debut starring as Jenna in the hit musical “Waitress.”

Disney on Ice: Magic in the Stars

Disney On Ice: Magic in the Stars will enchant Selland Arena from Thursday, Jan 30., to Sunday, Feb. 2.

Mickey and Minnie Mouse and all your favorite Disney characters will be there. Witness in person classic stories like “Cinderella,” “Aladdin,” “Toy Story,” “Cars,” “Encanto,” “Frozen 2,” and “Moana” told through the art of skating.

There’ll be a preshow Character Experience that includes games, storytelling, crafting and interactive time such as taking photos with Elsa and Mirabel.

David Spade

Comedian David Spade will unleash over four decades of comedy onto Table Mountain Casino on Saturday, Feb. 1.

The SNL-alum’s collaborations with cast member Chris Farley on films like “Tommy Boy” and “Black Sheep” will go down in comedy lore. He frequently works with friends and castmates like Adam Sandler and Rob Schneider on multiple movie projects like “Grown Ups” and the sequel.

Spade appeared on the small screen in shows like “Rules of Engagement” and “8 Simple Rules.” He was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award and two Golden Globes for his performance in “Just Shoot Me!” His comedy specials have premiered on HBO, Comedy Central, and Netflix.

Shen Yun

5,000 years of civilization will be reborn through classical Chinese dance when Shen Yun comes to the Saroyan Theatre on Tuesday, Feb. 4, and Wednesday, Feb. 5.

Based in New York, Shen Yun’s mission is to revive the beauty of traditional Chinese culture, offering a message of hope for today. They travel to 150 cities around the world each year. Actress Cate Blanchett and motivational speaker Tony Robbins gave it great reviews.

Each performance consists of about 20 pieces, focusing on different legends, regions, and dynasties. Themes range from Tang court ladies to the battlefield heroics of valiant generals, exploring the philosophical works of Lao-Tzu including spectacular scenes of magical realms.

Gabriel Iglesias

Gabriel Iglesias, the one they call “Fluffy,” will have the Save Mart Center rolling with laughter on Saturday, Feb. 8. He consistently tours through the Central Valley and his fanbase here is big and he sells out no matter the venue.

I’ve seen him twice at The Big Fresno Fair and he brings it every time. His career has been built off his material ranging from being raised Mexican, his weight, and impressions of famous people. He’s one of the most watched comedians on YouTube with over 1.9 billion views and over 32.5 million fans across social media.

Iglesias can be seen on the big screen in films like “Magic Mike,” “A Haunted House 2,” and his stand-up comedy film “The Fluffy Movie.” His comedy specials have been shown on Comedy Central and Netflix and he starred in his own Netflix series “Mr. Iglesias.” He’s the first comedian to sell out Dodger Stadium.

Annie

The sun will come out when the musical production of “Annie” hits Saroyan Theatre on Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 11-12.

The classic tale of Little Orphan Annie is brought to life by the direction of Jenn Thompson. Featuring the iconic book and score, written by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin.

The endearing story celebrates the power of family, optimism, and the enduring American spirit. It’s been adapted for the big and small screens.

Valentine’s Night Out

Get ready for a romantic rendezvous at Selland Arena on Friday, Feb. 14, with the Valentine’s Night Out show. Featuring R&B artists Jacquees, Lloyd, Nina Sky, Pretty Ricky and the headliner is Bow Wow.

Jacquees is a double platinum selling singer for hits like “B.E.D.” and “You.” Lloyd went solo after being in the boy band N-Toon and garnered a list of popular singles like “Southside,” “You,” and “Get It Shawty.” Nina Sky, a duo featuring identical twins Nicole and Natalie Albino, are known for the track “Move Ya Body.” Hip-hop group Pretty Ricky enjoyed its biggest success in the mid-2000s with the platinum songs “Grind With Me” and “On the Hotline.”

Bow Wow grew up in the spotlight as a rapper and actor. As a teen his first two albums peaked at Nos. 10 and 11 on the Billboard 200. His singles “Let Me Hold You” and “Like You” were on the top 10 chart on the Billboard Hot 100. He starred in films like “Johnson Family Vacation,” “Roll Bounce,” and “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.”

The Greatest Love of All: A Tribute to Whitney Houston

The Greatest Love of All: A Tribute to Whitney Houston will bring the spirit of the music legend to life at the Saroyan Theatre on Saturday, Feb. 15.

Classics will be performed like “I Will Always Love You,” “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” and more. The two-hour international production has toured across the globe.

Singer Belinda Davids commemorates the vocalist’s legacy. She’s performed alongside Keyshia Cole and was featured on Fox TVā€™s “Showtime at the Apollo” and BBC1 TVā€™s “Even Better Than the Real Thing.” She received a standing ovation for her rendition of Houston’s “One Moment in Time,” on “Britain’s Got Talent.”

Life Surge

Life Surge is bringing the Gospel to the Fresno Convention Center on Saturday, Feb. 15. They’re “a global movement for believers to live empowered, purpose-filled lives in alignment with Godā€™s calling” by touring all over the country preaching about faith.

This year’s lineup of speakers is an extensive one. Former Bulldog and NFL quarterback Derek Carr returns home. The headlining speaker is former University of Florida quarterback, Heisman trophy winner, and two-time National Champion Tim Tebow.

Proud Tina: The Ultimate Tribute to Tina Turner

Proud Tina: The Ultimate Tribute to Tina Turner will roll like a river to the Saroyan Theatre on Friday, Feb. 21.

Legendary classics will be played ranging from “Proud Mary,” “What’s Love Got to Do With It,” “Simply the Best,” and more. Caroline Borole will emulate the spirit of the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll with an energetic and passionate performance.

There’ll be a special guest performance from Belinda Davids from the Tribute to Whitney Houston.

Leanne Morgan

Comedian Leanne Morgan will bring her Southern charm to the Saroyan Theatre on Saturday, March 1 for her Just Getting Started Tour.

Morgan rose to prominence with her debut Netflix special “Iā€™m Every Woman.” She’s built a 25-year career of relatable material ranging from family, motherhood, and living a country life.

She’ll star in the Amazon Prime feature “Youā€™re Cordially Invited,” alongside Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon. She’s the author of “What in the World?” that was released in September.

Monster Jam

Monster Jam returns to the Save Mart Center on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 7-9. Touring consistently to the Valley, it’s become a favorite among residents who come to watch world-class drivers and monster trucks compete in racing, skills, donut, and freestyle events.

Popular trucks like Grave Digger, El Toro Loco, Sparkle Smash, and more will be tearing up the dirt. At the Pit Party you can see the massive trucks up close, meet your favorite drivers and crews, get autographs, take pictures and enjoy other family-friendly activities.

Another opportunity to meet and mingle with the drivers will be at the Post-Event Driver Meet and Greet.

Kane Brown

Country superstar Kane Brown is bringing The High Road Tour to Save Mart Center on Saturday, March 15. He went from being a social media sensation to selling out arenas and is one of the few black singers in the genre.

Brown appeared as a contestant on “The X Factor USA.” He posted his cover versions of popular songs online that garnered him a following. After signing with RCA Nashville, he became the first artist to have simultaneous No. 1 hits on all five of the main Billboard country charts.

The multi-platinum singer has collaborated with Becky G and Camilla Cabello. In 2021, he became the first Black to win Video of the Year at the ACM Awards, winning for “Worldwide Beautiful.” Brown was featured in 2021’s Time 100, the annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world.

Ice Cube

Rapper Ice Cube returns to the Central Valley to lay down the rhymes at Eagle Mountain Casino on Friday, April 4. He tours through the area quite often, and the more he performs here his fans will always show up.

He was a former member of N.W.A. where they achieved widespread popularity with songs like ā€œStraight Outta Compton.ā€ The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer embarked on a successful solo career with gangsta tunes like ā€œIt Was a Good Dayā€ and ā€œCheck Yo Self.ā€

He has appeared in about 40 films, his most famous titles are ā€œThree Kings,ā€ family comedies like the ā€œBarbershopā€ series, and buddy cop comedies ā€œ21 Jump Street,ā€ ā€œ22 Jump Street,ā€ and ā€œRide Along.ā€

Matt Rife

Last time that comedian Matt Rife was in Fresno he performed at Saroyan Theatre. On Saturday, April 12, Rife graces the big stage at the Save Mart Center.

He’s somebody who built his name from his internet presence. His videos doing crowd work entertained viewers. He has amassed over 39.4 million followers, and more than 3 billion views globally.

Rife was a featured player on the show “Wild ‘n Out.” His three self-produced comedy specials premiered on YouTube, further cementing his online appeal. Two of his specials are available on Netflix.

Jo Koy

Laughter will erupt through Eagle Mountain Casino when Jo Koy returns to the Valley on Thursday, May 8. His local fanbase grows the more he comes to town.

Six of his comedy specials have been released by Comedy Central and Netflix. He hosted the 81st Golden Globe Awards. In 2019 he reached No. 1 on the Billboard Charts for his stand-up comedy album, ā€‹ā€Live From Seattle.ā€ā€‹

Whether if it’s making fun of his Filipino culture or his mother, when he has the microphone, he can make anything funny.

The Wiggles

The Wiggles bring their exciting live show to the Saroyan Theatre on Friday, June 6. This time they have a fresh line-up that will introduce North American audiences to three new cast members, including the first-ever female Yellow Wiggle, Emma Watkins.

The group consists of founding member Anthony Field (Blue Wiggle), Simon Pryce (Red Wiggle) and Lachlan Gillespie (Purple Wiggle). They’ll be joined onstage by beloved characters Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog, and Henry the Octopus.

They’ll also play new songs like ā€œDo The Propeller!ā€, ā€œBeep! Beep! Buckle Up!” and more. Their fun and educational performances will entertain the whole family.
