Anthony Gardner, director of financial management for the Yale University’s Center for Clinical Investigation, will be Fresno Pacific University’s next vice president for finance and business affairs.
Gardner is scheduled to begin work at Fresno Pacific on Feb. 10. He replaces Robert Lippert, who retired earlier this year after a 10-year career at Fresno Pacific, a private university in southeast Fresno.
Before joining Yale, Gardner worked nearly a decade on the main campus of Rutgers University in New Jersey in several jobs. He also is the founder and president of South Jersey Tax Professionals LLC and has private industry experience.
He earned an MBA with a concentration in finance from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Rutgers. He also is on track to complete a Master of Science in accounting from the University of Arizona in 2026. He and his wife Ermoine have one son.
