Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Rolo, an 8-week-old puppy with a puzzling mix of features, is capturing hearts after a remarkable recovery.

Found in an unhoused community by an individual who had witnessed him being dragged, Rolo’s future initially looked bleak. However, after several weeks of care at a local vet’s office, the resilient pup is now on his way to finding a forever home.

Despite early fears of severe injuries, Rolo’s wounds turned out to be superficial, and he emerged from the ordeal without lasting effects.

His caretakers credit his foster — a vet tech who has been providing Rolo with round-the-clock attention — for his swift recovery.

With no confirmed breed yet (his DNA test results are still pending), Rolo looks like a miniature German shepherd — possibly mixed with a Chihuahua.

He’s proven himself to be a happy, energetic pup who’s comfortable around both big and small dogs.

To adopt Rolo or see other available dogs, visit Mell’s Mutts.

Prospective adopters must submit an adoption application for review to ensure the best match for each pup.
