Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are tied at 48% in a new NBC News poll, with both gaining and losing ground on key issues as Election Day approaches.
The survey, conducted Oct. 4-8, reveals that Trump has recovered support from Republicans following last month’s debate, while Harris has seen her summertime popularity fade.

“Any signs of momentum for Kamala Harris have stopped,” said Democratic pollster Jeff Horwitt. The poll finds a significant gender gap, with women favoring Harris by 14 points and men backing Trump by 16 points. Independent voters remain split.
The poll also highlights that abortion is a top voter motivation, with 22% of respondents indicating they would vote based solely on that issue. Harris has an advantage over Trump on abortion and health care, while Trump leads on immigration and the economy.
