Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

After weeks of fending for himself, Renny, a sweet-natured dog believed to be about 8 months old, is ready to trade in his life on the streets for a forever home.

Renny’s story began outside a Fresno home, where neighbors say he sought refuge on the porch for at least three weeks.

During the day, he made his way to a nearby elementary school, playfully mingling with students before retreating to his chosen sleeping spot.

While Renny initially kept his distance from rescuers, he couldn’t resist a trap set with fresh chicken and was safely brought into care.

Now, he’s thriving in a foster home, where he enjoys romping around with other dogs and playing with children.

Although still a bit timid around adults, his gentle demeanor shines through, and his rescuers are confident that with time and patience, Renny will become an ideal companion.

Renny’s exact breed remains a mystery — his DNA test results are pending — but he’s estimated to be full-grown at 30 pounds.

Prospective adopters must submit an adoption application for review to ensure the best match for each pup.
