Fresno Shooting Leaves Man Dead, Police Investigating

Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of Ricardo Martinez Olguin, 40, in southeast Fresno early Sunday morning, the Fresno Police Department reported on Monday.

Olguin was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body around 4 a.m. near the intersection of East Floradora and North Rowell Avenues.

Olguin, who was conscious when officers arrived, told them he had been shot by an unknown individual riding a bicycle.

He was transported to Community Regional Medical Center, where he later died.

Homicide detectives are working to determine a motive and are canvassing the area for witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Fresno Police Department or Valley Crime Stoppers anonymously at (559) 498-STOP.
