A Fresno man was arrested on felony charges of possessing child sexual abuse material, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office reported on a social media post Wednesday evening.

Adrian Cabral, 38, was taken into custody by detectives from the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force on Wednesday.

He was booked into the Fresno County Jail with bail set at $25,000.

Authorities said that detectives identified a residence in the 600 block of West Vassar Avenue as a possible source, obtained a search warrant, and seized electronic devices during their search. Cabral was arrested at the scene.

Law enforcement officials want to remind the public to stay vigilant online, especially with children’s internet usage. Predators often use platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok to lure minors, they warned.

Parents are encouraged to maintain open dialogue with their children and monitor app usage to help safeguard them from online threats.
