Man in Visalia Quickly Arrested for Sexually Assaulting 13-Year-Old Girl

A man has been arrested in for sexual assaulting of a 13-year-old girl who was attacked while walking home Wednesday morning, according to the Visalia Police Department.

The girl was walking home when Ulises Lupian, 20, began following her, eventually making contact and sexually assaulting her south of Giddings Street and Wren avenue, police said. The girl managed to fight off her attacker, who then fled the scene.

Following the assault, detectives obtained a photo of the suspect and released it to the public, requesting assistance in identifying the man.

The quick release of the photo led to the arrest of  Lupian just hours after the attack.

Lupian is held in the Tulare County Jail and is scheduled in court on Friday at 1:30 PM.
