In the latest episode of Al Jazeera‘s “Head to Head,” host Mehdi Hasan engages with Israeli historian Benny Morris to discuss his views on Israel’s military actions in Gaza, the historical context of Israel’s founding, and the Nakba.
Morris, known for his book “The Birth of the Palestinian Refugee Problem, 1947-1949,” which debunked myths about the displacement of over 700,000 Palestinians, faces criticism for now appearing to justify those events.
Joining the debate are three experts: Palestinian lawyer and former PLO advisor Diana Buttu, former Israeli peace negotiator and current US/Middle East Project President Daniel Levy, and Tel Aviv University International Relations lecturer Emmanuel Navon.
