Dario Mata-Manzo, 32, of Fresno, pleaded guilty Monday to distributing methamphetamine, U.S. Attorney Phillip A. Talbert said in a news release.

According to court documents, in June 2022, Mata-Manzo negotiated the sale of crystal meth for $1,200 a pound and later delivered 8 pounds of the drug to undercover officers in Fresno.

The FBI, Drug Enforcement Administration, Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, and High Impact Investigation Team assembled the case against Mata-Manzo. Assistant U.S. Attorney Karen Escobar is the prosecutor.

Mata-Manzo is scheduled to be sentenced by U.S. District Judge Jennifer L. Thurston on Nov. 20. He faces a mandatory minimum prison term of 10 years.
