These productions take place all over the world and feature a wide range of music through classical instrumentation while surrounded by hundreds ā sometimes thousands ā of LED candles.
The goal is to deliver a unique experience, and attendees of Saturday’s show would likely agree that the performance met that mark.

Classical Renditions of Adele’s Music
The local Tower Quartet performed classical renditions to the poetic and elegant music of the one and only Adele on the 10th floor of the Grand 1401 building in downtown Fresno. Not too often can one say that they’ve been to a musical performance where the only sources of light were candles laid out everywhere. The uniqueness added to the appeal.
It was just three violinists and a cellist, and they played the hits ā “Hello,” “Rumour Has It,” “Someone Like You,” and “Rolling in the Deep,” for example ā from the British singer. The quartet was so crisp and spot on that it was as if their strings were singing.
Adele’s music is epic, but to hear it played in this fashion enhanced the allure of her sound. Add a full moon overhead and views of downtown and it made for a one-of-a kind concert.
Candlelight Concerts Return to Fresno
Candlelight concerts have become a Fresno staple and they’ll be back in upcoming months. They do tributes to an array of artists, including Coldplay and Taylor Swift, and classical composers like Vivaldi.
