The Wonderful Company has opened the application period for the $1 million Wonderful Central Valley Community Grants, now in their 10th year.

Thus far the company and its owners, Lynda and Stewart Resnick, have awarded through their foundation nearly $7 million in grants to more than 122 nonprofits and 165 schools in the San Joaquin Valley.

The grants are intended to support transformative initiatives focused on health and wellness, education, recreation, community beautification, art, and social services.

Organizations whose proposals would impact at least one of these nine eligible communities — Avenal, Delano, Del Rey, Firebaugh, Lost Hills, Mendota, Sanger, Shafter, or Wasco — are encouraged to apply.

The Wonderful Philanthropy team will conduct a virtual information session at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 16. Interested parties can RSVP here.

For more information or to submit an application, click here.

All applications must be received by midnight Aug. 31 to be considered. The grant recipients will be announced in October.
