Journalist Mehdi Hasan debated against the notion that anti-Zionism is anti-Semitism in front of a largely pro-Israel audience.
He was joined by Israeli journalist Gideon Levy, while Israel lobbyist Douglas Murray and Natasha Hausdorff of UK Lawyers for Israel argued in favor of Zionism.
Hasan criticized the audience for booing when he listed organizations, including Oxfam (which fights global poverty), that have condemned Israel’s actions in Gaza.
“What does it come to when you’re booing Oxfam?” Hasan questioned the audience. “You’re sitting here booing Oxfam to defend Benjamin Netanyahu.”
