It’s a hot week, but there are plenty of events to help keep cool and not think about the warm summer days ahead.

Country stars Brooks & Dunn and rapper Keak Da Sneak are this week’s Valley headliners.

And, the Fresno Fairgrounds is hosting the Fresno Cactus and Succulent Society’s Annual Show & Plant Sale, and the Central Valley Reptile Expo.

It all gets started Thursday with ArtHop, comedy, and music at the Shinzen Friendship Garden.

Check out our expanded list of events at this link.

Brooks and Dunn

Country superstars Brooks & Dunn bring their “Reboot” 2024 tour to the Save Mart Center on Thursday. David Lee Murphy and country hitmaker Ernest will open for them.

Country Music Hall of Famers Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn elevated the popularity of country in the ’90s. They went on hiatus in 2010 but reunited in 2015 and have never sounded better.

Their music is known for containing influences of honky-tonk, mainstream country, and rock. Their defining hit is “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” which helped bring back line dancing in America. Another single, “Only in America,” was used by both George W. Bush and Barack Obama for their presidential campaigns.

The Grammy winners have a tremendous inventory of classic tunes to choose from for the concert. Twenty of their songs went to No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs charts, and 19 more reached the top 10.

The Fresno crowd will be boot scootin’ boogiein’ all night long.
