Update, 3:13 p.m., Friday, May 17: Beautify Fresno tells GV Wire that all 80 volunteer spots for the “Pick Up With Pups” event Saturday at Roeding Park have been filled.

Original Story

Saturday will arrive with your chance to spend the morning surrounded by pups while helping the community.

Beautify Fresno is partnering with the Fresno Animal Center to host “Pick Up With Pups,” a dog adoption and cleanup event, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Roeding Park.

This first-ever event invites residents to come walk shelter dogs, who are looking for homes, while picking up litter.

Check-in starts at 8:45 a.m. by the Roeding Park dog park, just south of the tennis courts. All supplies, including trash bags, gloves, and vests, will be provided.

How to Sign Up Now

Volunteers are required to sign a liability waiver form. To speed up check-ins, people are encouraged to sign the waiver electronically here.

Participants under 18 must have a guardian sign for them.
