  • Eleven candidates are competing to become the next representative for the 20th congressional district of California. Three GOP candidates — Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux, Fresno casino owner Kyle Strickland, and Clovis sports card shop owner David Giglio — took part in a forum on Wednesday, Jan. 31, hosted by Cen-Cal Business Finance Group and moderated by Tal Cloud. The presumptive front-runner, Vince Fong, didn’t participate in the forum.
  • The 20th congressional district covers parts of the following counties: Fresno, Kern, Kings, and Tulare.
  • Kevin McCarthy was the previous representative in this district until his resignation on December 31, 2023.
