The Takeaway

— The Clovis Senior Activity Center recently had its ribbon cutting at 735 Third Street.

— The new 25,000-square-foot facility is nearly twice as big as its predecessor and features a conference hall, commercial kitchen, art room, billiards room, classrooms, and a gym.

— Anyone 50 and older can join the center. There is a $25 annual membership fee for those residing outside of Clovis.

— The center will host its annual free Thanksgiving Lunch on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. Doors open at 11:00 a.m.
