Fresno kids have more options for learning and having fun over the winter break this year with the return of Fresno Unified School District’s Winter Camps.
The camps are free and are designed to provide learning opportunities as well as adventure and fun while schools are closed during the winter break.
There will be school-based as well as community-based activities that will include science/technology/engineering/arts/math (STEAM), sports and fitness, rock climbing, folklorico, hip hop, and LEGO brick building.
Session one camps will be Dec. 18-21, and session two camps will be Jan. 2-5.
Registration opens today for priority students, including English learners, students eligible for free or reduce price lunch, and students living in foster care. Registration opens Wednesday for all students and closes on Nov. 24.
To register, parents need to make sure their primary contact mobile number is correct in the ATLAS system and can contact their child’s school to update it. They will receive a message with sign-up information and can register using the provided link. They will then receive a text confirmation with camp details.
