Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Calling all photographers! Hurry up and grab your cameras for the chance to win prizes worth up to $100.

You have a little more than a week left before the “Focus on Downtown” photo contest closes its entry window at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, July 30.

The contest, put on by the Downtown Fresno Partnership, includes four categories:  Architecture, Fashion and Modeling, Events and Culture, Food and Drink, and Retro Flashback. Each one offers its own set of prizes.

A Look at the Prizes

The Architecture category focuses on capturing the downtown Fresno landscape, including man-made structures, parks, and plazas. Winners will receive an award consisting of a $50 Ideaworks voucher, a $25 Valentino’s gift card, and a $25 Gelateria del Centro gift card.

Fashion and Modeling asks participants to show off their personal style, focusing on locally sourced clothing and the surrounding environment. A free 2-hour session at J Street Studios is the prize.

Events and Culture centers public social spaces and events in the area, such as music shows and ArtHop. A $100 South of Shaw gift basket awaits the winner.

Food and Drink wishes to highlight the delicious options offered, ranging from restaurants to street vendors to local cafés. A $100 Smokin’ Woods BBQ gift card is offered to the winner.

All these categories require participants’ photos to have been taken within the last year.

Retro Flashbacks Category

However, the final category, Retro Flashbacks, pivots towards vintage photographs that showcase what life used to look like downtown. The prize is a package with a $50 Bad Kids Club gift card, a $25 Yoshi Now! Gift card, and a $25 Summoned Clothing gift card.

There will also be a grand prize of a watermark designed by Hella Fresno given away.

Contest Rules

The contest, in collaboration with Bad Kids Club and Aim.Shoot.Develop on Instagram, requires all submissions to be under 10mb and be submitted in JPEG format, titled with your last name and category.

Have questions? You can find answers at this link.

Have fun exploring downtown and good luck!
