Swim lessons are available at four Fresno Unified high school pools beginning Monday, June 19.
The lessons, which are for ages 3 and older, are free for Fresno Unified students and Fresno residents under 18. The program is a partnership between Fresno parks and the school district.
“We are thrilled to partner with the city of Fresno to host swim lessons for free for our families,” said Fresno Unified Superintendent Bob Nelson in a news release. “This year especially, with dangerously swift and high waters in our rivers, we are urging our families to pay special attention to water safety.”
To register, go to www.fresno.gov/swimlessons, call (559) 621-7529 or visit Dickey Youth Center at 1515 E. Divisadero St. on weekdays.
Classes are available every half hour on weekdays from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
