But that’s what convicted felon Christian Ward of Las Vegas tried to do on Friday, March 3, according to Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies.

A sheriff’s spokesman said that an x-ray machine in the court’s screening area exposed a handgun and methamphetamine in Ward’s bag.

Deputies arrested Ward, 25, for being a felon in possession of a firearm and booked him into jail, where he remains. His bail is $335,000.

Deputies say that Christian Ward of Las Vegas tried to enter the Fresno County Courthouse with this gun on Friday, March 3, 2023. (Fresno County SO)
