According to the Cal-ISO website, there should be sufficient power to avoid outages today if residents comply.
The National Weather Service in Hanford says that it expects to end an Excessive Heat Warning at 8 p.m. Friday.
Record-breaking temperatures.
More demand on our energy grid than ever before.
But we avoided emergency power outages tonight.
We can do this. If we keep it up we can get through this unprecedented heatwave.

Fork Fire Update
The Fork Fire, which broke out in the Madera County mountain community of North Fork on Wednesday afternoon, has burned 773 acres and is 5% contained, Cal Fire reports.
Because of steep and rugged terrain, fire crews are doing an aggressive aerial attack to get the upper hand on the flames. This is one of five drops I’ve seen in the last 10 minutes. #ForkFire @ABC30 pic.twitter.com/4ttYa34igF

Short-range spotting has been observed. Firefighters are actively engaged in fire suppression efforts, line construction, and structure defense.”
