Both Democratic and Republican voters are losing confidence in President Joe Biden’s ability to handle crime and immigration challenges.

The results of a national telephone and online survey by Rasmussen Reports published Tuesday, Dec. 28, found 31% of likely U.S. voters rate Biden excellent or good on crime and law enforcement issues.

That’s down from 34% in July. Fifty-one percent (51%) give Biden a poor rating for his handling of crime, up from 48% in July.

In addition, just 27% rated him as excellent or good on immigration-related issues, while 54% give him a poor rating. This continues Biden’s slipping approval from September when 52% of voters rated him as poor on immigration.

Poll Methodology

The survey of 1,000 likely voters was conducted Dec. 19-20. The margin of error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
