This UC School Is Paying Students To Stay Home and Not Travel Over Spring Break

UC Davis really, really wants its student population to stay within city limits over spring break.

The university is offering 750 Davis students a $75 grant through a partnership with the city of Davis to be used for “staycations” later this month.

The grants can be used for purchases at local small businesses — and are tied to four different categories: Get Active, Get Artsy, Home Improvement and Let’s Stay In. The businesses involved in the partnership have not been named.
