Two people died over the weekend in Tulare County from COVID-19 according to the health officials there.
The individuals were both over 65 and the transmission types were community contact. These were the 12th and 13th deaths due to COVID-10 in Tulare County.
In a news release, Dr. Karen Haught, Tulare County Public Health Officer said, “We offer our sincere condolences to the friends and families who lost their loved one due to COVID-19. This virus spreads quickly, so the most important thing you can do is stay home to prevent the spread.”

Fresno County

Fresno County Public Health says there were 222 total cases in the county through Monday. Fourteen patients are in intensive care. Another 50 patients are suspected of having COVID-19 but those results are pending.
Dr. Rais Vohra, the public health department’s interim health officer, during a Monday teleconference with reporters said, “What I can tell you is that we do seem to be lagging behind some of the numbers, and trends that have been seen in the big cities to the north and south of us. We feel like that that will continue with things like the surge and the peak.”
