Three games are all that stand between Fresno State and a perfect Mountain West women’s basketball regular season.
The Bulldogs barely broke a sweat Saturday against last-place Utah State while winning 79-61 in Logan, Utah.
Outright Mountain West Champions
They are now outright conference champions, 15-0 in Mountain West play, and 22-4 overall.
On Monday, Hanna Cavinder became the latest Bulldog to win Mountain West Player of the Week honors for her 20-point outings against San Jose State and Utah State.
Cavinder, a freshman guard from Gilbert, Arizona, is a repeat winner. She also won the award for the week of Dec. 16.
Other Bulldogs recipients of the award this season are forward Maddi Utti (Jan. 13, Jan. 20) and guard Aly Gamez (Feb. 10).
On Saturday, Fresno State dominated Utah State in the paint with a 46-20 scoring edge. And Utti gave the Aggies fits with 18 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Who Will Break Fresno State’s Freshman Scoring Record?
Cavinder’s sister Haley has 417 points this season while Hanna is at 412. Ahead for both is Jaleesa Ross’ school freshman scoring record of 421.
Wednesday the Bulldogs play at Air Force (6-19, 4-10) and return home for Senior Day on Saturday against Nevada (13-12, 6-8).
The Bulldogs’ final regular-season contest is Thursday, Feb. 27, at Wyoming (12-11, 8-6).
