Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, the duo behind the popular TV antiquing series ‘American Pickers,’ are hoping to uncover lost treasures in the Valley during a visit to California in March.

Listen to this article:

“Mike and Frank have seen a lot of rusty gold over the years and are always looking to discover something they’ve never seen before,” said a release from the show’s production company. “American Pickers is looking for leads and would love to explore your hidden treasure.”
The company, Cineflix, reached out to the Madera Chamber of Commerce late last week to help spread the word about the upcoming filming of new episodes in locations across the state.

Looking for Large Collections of Antiques

The series, which airs on the History channel, follows the show’s hosts as they seek out interesting and valuable items from the past. “The pair hopes to give historically significant objects a new lease on life, while learning a thing or two about America’s past along the way,” the release said.
“They are always excited to find sizeable, unique collections and learn the interesting stories behind them.”
Locals who own or know about a trove of possible antique treasures can contact the show at americanpickers@cineflix.com or by phone at 1-855-OLD-RUST (653-7878) with details and photos. The production team says the show is looking for collections that “the Pickers can spend the better part of the day looking through.”
