A man with two blades in his hands was caught on camera savagely swinging at inflatable Christmas decorations in a Madera neighborhood, ripping them apart.

Video shows the attacker wildly slashing at Jeff Cox’s elaborate annual yard display, known fondly as the Madera Christmas House. The display of holiday cheer has been a community staple for a little over a decade and boasts 10,000 lights and 25 inflatables ranging from Santa and his reindeer to Mickey and pals.
The footage was captured by Cox’s home surveillance cameras. It also shows the vandal getting tangled up in wires and tripping as he flees from the scene.
“I don’t know what would drive someone to do something that destructive,” Cox said.
Anyone with any information on the vandal is encouraged to call the Madera Police Department.
