“Go back to your own country.”
It’s a comment often directed at Muslims in America today.
Yet, a vast majority (over 80 percent) of those who practice the Islamic faith across the country are U.S. citizens, according to a report by Pew Research Center. Almost half of those surveyed reported facing some kind of discriminatory treatment last year, the report said.
At the same time, a similar number reported someone expressing support to them because of their faith.
