A 44-year-old Arizona man was sentenced Monday to more than 13 years in federal prison for attempting to coerce or entice a minor after communicating with an undercover federal agent posing as a mother with a 7-year-old daughter.
Anthony Dalton Wolff, of Surprise, Arizona, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Dale A. Drozd to 13 years and eight months in prison and ordered to pay a $15,000 money judgment, U.S. Attorney Eric Grant announced.
Wolff also was ordered to serve 15 years of supervised release following his prison term. During that time, his access to minors, electronic devices, and the internet will be restricted, and he will be required to register as a sex offender.
Wolff pleaded guilty Dec. 15, 2025.
According to court documents, Wolff communicated between March 16, 2023, and July 30, 2024, with an undercover federal agent on a dark web forum dedicated to discussions of child sexual abuse. The agent posed as a mother with a 7-year-old daughter.
Authorities said Wolff moved the conversations to Telegram, an encrypted messaging application, and planned to meet the purported mother and daughter in California.
Prosecutors said he described plans to sexually abuse the child.
