The California Department of Transportation announced scheduled maintenance operations that will close portions of Highway 99 in the Fresno area on Wednesday and Thursday.
The northbound Highway 99 onramp at North Avenue will be closed Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. for pavement repairs, according to a Caltrans press release.
On Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., crews will conduct pump plant maintenance that will close the auxiliary lane along southbound Highway 99 at the Belmont Avenue onramp to just south of Tellman Avenue. The northbound Highway 99 onramp at Belmont Avenue will also be closed for pump plant maintenance during that time.
Caltrans said closures may extend beyond the scheduled times if delays occur due to weather or uncontrollable events. The scheduled closures will proceed weather permitting.
Maintenance workers reminded motorists to drive with extra care and allow additional travel time while traveling in the maintenance area.
Drivers should be alert for road maintenance personnel and “slow for the cone zone.”
