Police in Madera investigated a traffic collision Sunday at East Yosemite Avenue and D Street that temporarily closed the intersection in all directions, the department said in a statement.

Officers later determined one of the drivers was operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and arrested him for booking into the Madera County Jail.

No serious injuries were reported, and the roadway has since reopened.
