One day after detectives identified a suspect in the November shooting death of a 51-year-old man and asked for the public’s help in finding him, the suspect turned himself in, Fresno police said.

Luis Valencia, 51, died at CRMC after being found shot by Fresno police on Nov. 27, 2023. (Fresno PD)

Officers found Luis Valencia shot in the 2700 block of East Clinton Avenue across from the VA Hospital shortly after 10 p.m. on Nov. 27.

He later died at Community Regional Medical Center.
