In an upcoming book, it is revealed that media mogul Oprah Winfrey proposed a joint presidential run with Senator Mitt Romney (R-Utah) in 2020 to prevent President Trump’s re-election.

The book, “Romney: A Reckoning” by McKay Coppins, is based on extensive interviews with Romney and access to his personal diaries and journals. According to the book, Winfrey, a Democrat, suggested a unity ticket to “save the country.” However, Romney dismissed the idea, fearing it would inadvertently aid Trump.

A source close to Winfrey stated that she was never serious about running, despite encouragement from her inner circle. Romney, who was the GOP’s presidential candidate in 2012, recently announced he will not seek Senate re-election next year.
