NewsContributing writer Kim Ghattas writes for the Atlantic that the attack by Hamas on Israel sends a signal not only to Hamas’ allies in the Mideast but also to Arab nations that have either sided with Israel or entered into the Abraham Accords, a first step in normalizing relations.
The coordination of the attacks was only possible with support and training from Iran and Hezbollah, Ghattas writes. But when Israel retaliates, the Palestinian people who are not part of the Hamas organization and who have been packed into the Gaza Strip for decades will pay the price with loss of lives and property.
