The National Park Service is investigating an alleged sexual assault in Yosemite National Park in April 2020.
According to court documents, Charles Porter, 30, initiated non-consensual sexual contact with a victim on April 14, 2020
Investigators believe Porter may have perpetrated additional sexual assaults at the park and in other location including Cal Poly Pomona and the Pacific Crest Trail.

A five‑count indictment was unsealed in early March charging Porter with sexual assault, according to a news release from the National Park Service Investigative Services Branch.
Porter is in custody. If convicted, he faces the possibility of life in prison and a $250,000 fine.
