CVS will begin to offer COVID-19 vaccinations to eligible populations starting February 11 at a limited number of its pharmacy locations across 11 states, including California, the company announced Tuesday.

We already know of several Valley locations.

“Clovis, Modesto and Bakersfield,” are all on the list according to an email from CVS spokesperson Monica Prinzing. She says CVS will administer the Moderna Vaccine.

Specific store locations have not yet been announced, but will be posted on the company’s website once appointments become available.

Supply for the initial rollout, which is sourced directly from the federal government through the pharmacy partnership program, will be approximately 250,000 total doses.

Appointments Available Starting February 9

Appointments will become available for booking as early as February 9 as stores receive shipments of vaccine.

Vaccinations will be offered to those meeting state criteria, which will confirmed in advance of the rollout.

Patients must register in advance at CVS.com or through the CVS Pharmacy app.  People without online access can contact CVS customer service: (800) 746-7287.

Walk-in vaccinations without an appointment will not be provided, the company said.

Other California Cities on the List

Other California CVS locations offering COVID vaccinations include Agoura Hills, Bakersfield, Carmel, Carlsbad, Chula Vista, Clovis, Eureka, Huntington Beach, Irvine, La Jolla, Los Angeles, Modesto, Monterey, Newport Beach, San Diego, San Francisco, Sonoma, Sunnyvale, Ventura and Yuba City.

As more supply becomes available the company says it will expand to more locations and offer additional appointments.

CVS Long-Term Care Vaccination Effort

CVS Health has administered the first round of COVID-19 vaccine doses to nearly 8,000 skilled nursing facilities, and second doses are more than 60 percent complete, officials said.
