United Health Centers has partnered with the city of Clovis to offer no cost COVID-19 drive-up testing on Thursdays in December.
The new mobile testing site is located at the corner of Dakota and Clovis avenues at the city’s recreation center.
“We have over 1,000 feet of lane space,” says Blake Carpenter, director of operations for United Health Centers. “We’re here to help with surveillance testing.”
Carpenter says they have supplies to test around 1,000 people a day.
“The reason we chose this location is because it’s a prominent location next to a busy street, so it’s good visibility,” says Carpenter. “You have a half a million people that use Clovis Avenue on a daily basis.”
The hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 3.p.m.
Pre-registration is recommended prior to COVID-19 testing by calling UHC at (800) 492-4227.
Test results are available in 3-4 days.

United Health Centers has also partnered with the city of Fresno to offer testing at the Fresno Fairgrounds every Wednesday and Saturday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Like the Clovis location, pre-registration is recommended by calling UHC at (800) 492-4227.
The testing site is located in the west parking lot at 1100 S. Chance Avenue (entrance at E. Lane Ave).
