Walls rattled, foundations shook and flashes of light lit up the sky near several northeast Visalia homes Friday night.
Around 10 p.m. a series of explosions went off near Golden West High School. It’s unknown what caused the noise or if anyone was injured or cited by law enforcement.
Several residents reported calling 911 about the incident. One report said it was nothing more than a hail cannon test. The weather cannons are used to disrupt the hailstones in the atmosphere, but the devices typically don’t give off such bright light.
