gvwireClovis police say they’ve caught the thieves responsible for stealing about $14,000 in Nike clothing since May 1 in five trips to Dick’s Sporting Goods.
And now they’re teaming with Fresno police to solve similar thefts from Dick’s locations there.
Clovis police believe the same three-person crew is responsible for the Fresno thefts.
Arrested on Wednesday with the help of undercover detectives at the Dick’s in Clovis were 19-year-old Schirell Cummings, 18-year-old Michael Ivory, and a 16-year-old juvenile. All gave Fresno addresses.
All were arrested on suspicion of grand theft, looting, and conspiracy. Cummings and Ivory posted ball, while the juvenile was released to a guardian.
Search warrants served in Fresno turned evidence of the thefts and a stolen AR-15 semi-automatic rifle.
